SEATTLE, WASHINGTON  KODA is a high-rise community designed for Seattle’s Nihonmachi (Japantown) neighborhood, the gateway to the historic Chinatown-International District. The project has earned the support of the International Special Review District (ISRD), a panel of community stakeholders that regulate design and development within the Chinatown-International District (CID). This unique oversight is established to preserve the CID’s unique Asian American character and encourage the rehabilitation of areas for housing and pedestrian-oriented businesses.
